Q&A
Q. How long have you been filming weddings and what areas do your cover?
My first wedding was in 2014, so I've been filming weddings full time for almost a decade. Hence the greys hairs :) I’m based 12 miles from Belfast, Northern Ireland but happy to travel. If you’d like to chat about this, head over to the Contact page and drop me a line.
Q. How would you describe your style?
My style of shooting is journalistic. I’m very interested in people’s interactions and all the small details that reflect the couples personality and make their wedding day truly unique.
People have different levels of comfort when cameras are around, so I try to remain discreet. – I’ll be there in the background, quietly taking things in and capturing the emotion, and all the things couples can easily miss in all the excitement.
Q. Will there be one or two videographers on the day?
The majority of the weddings I cover only require one videographer to be there on the day. Working solo helps to keep the footprint on your wedding day to a minimum. If you're planning a larger wedding or would like additional coverage on the day, I can add a second videographer to your package at an additional cost.
Q. Do you cover both bride and groom preparations?
I normally cover bridal preparations (if included in your package) then get to the ceremony venue 30-40 minutes before it starts to capture some footage of the groom and guests, so things are nicely balanced between the bride and groom on the morning of your wedding. If both parties are getting ready at the same location I can cover both bride and groom preparations, no problem.
Q. Who chooses the music?
Music is at the heart of my work so ultimately I choose the music. It's difficult to know what music will work best for your video/s before seeing the footage. I work hard to find music that suits the vibe and flow of your day. All music is fully licensed, which means you can share your video online without copyright infringements.
Q. Do we need to meet in person before our big day?
While I'd love to meet every couple in person prior to their big day it's just not practical or necessary. I'm always emailing back and forth with couples from the initial contact stage right through until completion.
Q. How come you’ve not been active on social media lately?
Most couples find me through personal recommendations or reach out after seeing a friends video which they shared on social media. If you want to keep up to date with what I’ve been doing recently keep an eye for me on Insta. I’m planning to start posting regularly in the coming weeks and months. Watch this space :)
Q. Is there a deposit?
Yes, there's a minimum deposit payment of £300 required to secure your date. A 50% deposit is required for international bookings & Elopements.
Q. What happens once we’ve made a booking?
Once I’ve received your completed booking form and deposit, your date is booked in and secured. I'll send you a confirmation of booking email with next steps info. I will then contact you again closer to the time to chat things through and confirm all the details for the day. After we chat, I’m sure you’ll feel at ease before we meet in person on the day.
Q. Sounds great, how do we book
The first thing to do is check availability on your date and I’ll send you through my pricing and package options.
I hope this helps for now but if there is anything we have missed please feel free to drop me a line with any questions and I'll respond as soon as possible.
Thanks & Happy Planning :)
