FAQ

Q. Will there be we one or two videographers on the day ?

A. At Hatch we prefer to go solo as it keeps the footprint on your wedding day to a minimum.

If you're planning a large wedding with over 200 + guests or want the entire ceremony captured from start to finish then we'd need to add a second videographer to
an additional cost. Please contact for details and costs.

Q. What time do you normally start and how long do you stay?

A. We normally arrive to cover bridal preparations at your home or venue of choice and stay until the first few dances regardless of what time this happens but packages can be customised to your needs.  If it's an elopement we generally arrive to cover preparations around lunchtime and stay until dusk.

Q. Do you film both parties getting ready?

A. If both parties are getting ready at the same venue or just around the corner, we can cover both bride and groom preparations. It's important to note we arrive at the ceremony venue

30-40 minutes before it starts to capture groom and guest arrivals, so coverage is nicely balanced between the bride and groom on the morning of their wedding.

Q. How far do you travel for weddings?

A. We work all across Northern Ireland and take the odd trips to Southern Ireland, overseas to England and other parts of Europe.

Can you provide the full Ceremony & Speeches?

A. We normally provide the full vows and  speeches with crisp audio as a stand alone video.   If you'd like the entire ceremony filmed from start to finish we highly recommend adding a second videographer to your package. Please contact for details and costs.

Q. Do you provide packages for Elopements?

A. Yes, tailored packages are available to suit your plans. Please get in touch to discuss your options.

Q. Who chooses the music?

A. Ultimately, we choose the music. Selecting music for your video is a massive part in the overall production process and reflects the style of our work. It takes a lot of time and effort to get right. We tend to use easy listening ambient music for the longer documentary edit as it feels elegant, authentic and timeless.

Q. Do you charge for travel

A. Travel is included for weddings within a 50 miles radius of Belfast. A basic travel fee is added at 45p per mile (return) for everything further. If you're planning a destination wedding flights and accommodation will also be added to the standard package price.

Q. Do we need to meet before our big day?

A. While we'd love to meet with every couple in person prior to their big day, we realise this is not practical or necessary. We are always emailing back and forth with our couples and arrange a call prior to their wedding day.

If you're planning a wedding from abroad we can schedule a zoom or video call .

Q. Is there a deposit required?

A. There is a deposit payment of £300 required to secure your date.

Q. This all sounds great, how do we book?

A. The first thing to do is check availability on your date. We can only take on a limited number of bookings each year and dates tend to fill up 1-2 Years

in advance.

Please feel free to get in touch with any further questions and we'll be happy to help.

Thank you and happy planning ! :)
